It was dixon who threw that shocker to owen when hudson was inside. I cant believe we have messed up like this again.

However i would take 7 wins and a draw from 10 but with saints, Leeds and wire next i think were gunna be back in the mix with teams like bulls and catalan. Threw 3 points away now. We SHOULD be on 18 points (4wins off play offs) but once we get to 24points in a game we get lazy.

What a poor display i feel totaly deflated after watching that. What should have been a great night back to the top of the league turned into a Wildcat wonder show 20 points up in the second half and then just to stop playing. what were they thinking? ( Saints, Leeds certanly not about the game tonight )We can't even blame the ref though the last try was 4 yards off side we should never have been in that position.I wonder if we will be getting half our hard earned money back as the team never showed up for the second half.

Come on CAS no excusess on monday!!!! there must be plenty left in the tank after that.

You can ALWAYS blame the ref!! I thought your first try was from a forward pass, and your second he was held up!

Second half you bombed at least two tries 'cos Owen over-ran his centre.

At 24-4 we were coasting. Everyone in the ground (at least the general feel anyway) was that Cas had this in the bag. The players felt it, the fans felt it probably only Kear and the Wakey team still hadn't given up. At this point it should have been game over but we all know it wasn't. One person in the ground that I know of, apart from myself already predicted that Cas were about to collapse. My little lad said to me at 24-4, "dad, this is just like Quins again!". Yes this was before we'd started to let in tries. This was before Wakey had started their comeback. I don't know what is worse about our defeat. The way we lost a 20 point lead, the team we lost it to or the fact that no one on or off the pitch for Cas did anything about it.

My son for coach, he's 10!

We are having to dip into our u20s. That is, those young players who have not been promoted to first team; our real reserves. Some of them have only just turned 18. Since 'two or three' of our first team won't be playing on Monday in addition to Wheeler and Wello who we lost in the match (and we don't yet know who those extra two or three are), then we will be fielding a largely u20s side. There will be no putting 50 points on you on Monday. I'll be amazed if we manage to put a point on the board.

ETA: Saints have just announced their squad.

Not as bad as we all thought it was going to be. Phew! Bar Wheeler, it's the same line up as against Wigan, although Wello is playing on an ankle injury and so we may lose him at some point.

We still won't put 50 on you, but at least we now have a fighting chance!

Heart says a sneaky Cas win but on our last two 2nd half performances its a straight forward Saints win by 18,once they get on a scoring roll it will be a long afternoon for us :(

Saints will be the first team to hit 30 against us. I think it will be 38-24 saints. I have no hope after witnessing the last 2 games.

The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

Re: They let us down tonight. : Sat Apr 23, 2011 2:00 pm
Any thooughts about our fitness levels? Wakey did seem to make quick and simple yards at every play of the ball, where as (other than Fozzy) we didn't seem to have any 'get up and go!'

I thought Childs was poor al round. No bias, just poor!!! In the first half I though he was going to lose control of the game due to a lot of high tackles and neck grappling. However, nothing but our players to blame for a lack lustre performance, missed opportunities, poor ball retention, missed tackles....the lot!

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Much more optimistic today about the Cas Saints game. thought you lot would be able to take advantage of the kids worn out by a wigan lesson in RL. But as it turns out the kids are all right.
