Once again Fully, you make a bold statement but that is all... nothing of any substance to back it up. Just that I_A's comments are "wide of the mark". OK, so off you go, tell me what and which of my comments are wide of the mark?
I have my reasons.
Not stating you're wrong in any way - just that I believe you're wide of the mark on some issues. For instance, Opus' position, the fact you think that the club are driving this project when it's clearly Opus, the club are working on the information provided by Opus; the fact that you seem to think the statements provided by RW are spin on this matter (again when the info is coming through Opus).
Another poster who should maybe read my post and not just read what people post about me... especially on your other forum!
Did I post that Newmarket wouldn't go to a PI... is that what I actually said? Please go look again at what I actually said! Did I think Newmarket would go to a PI, no I didn't think it would, but was always clear that it could (with it being a statutory referral and all) and yes, I was surprised when it did. However, I was not alone in thinking it wouldn't and Ian Thompson (personally) and his team in WMDC planning didn't think so either. Please call him and ask him if you wish, he has stated this publicly on several occasions but of course you always knew better I expect?
As for GH, what about GH, what did I ever say about GH other than it would sail through it's reserved matters and made some comments on parking issues following Xcaspe objection? You should check out who bothered and wrote to the council supporting the application, it is public record... but of course, I did this as a smoke screen cover to hide my obvious anti-Cas bias of course!
Half-baked rumours!!! Just pointing out the issues you now face and also posting first hand information from people involved in the process. If you think this is plane sailing, unlike GH but very like Newmarket, then you need your bumps feeling.
I post this information because I believe it is vital for your fans to understand the position of both clubs and how downright foolish it would be for the RFL to kick either you are Wakey out at such an important stage. Of course, you do have the advantage of the public perception of being 'in front' and therefore the stuff I have posted recently does I suppose seem negative and pessimistic if you are a Cas fan, but hey, it is what I know, have seen for myself and have been told first hand!
you predicted (with some confidence as i recall) the nm wouldn't go to pi and it did, is that statement untrue? no it isnt.
And unless you can provide us with a bit more evidence than 'some guy who's name must be kept secret told me that something was said in a meeting that i'm not willing to provide evidence he was at' then i will continue to regard your 'information' as nothing more than a half baked rumour. Just because you keep repeating it that doesn't mean we will all suddenly believe you.
Even if what you say is true do you suddenly think all the cas and wakey fans will unite under one banner and the the rfl will say 'sod crusaders after all cas and wakey fans are asking for each other to both stay in sl' the only thing the rfl might say is 'ok then merge' which would lead to the irreversible destruction of rl's popularity in its greatest nursery if were to ever happen.
All your vital 'information' has achieved is for wakefield fans to feel better as your telling them exactly what they want to here (your even managing to include 'rw's spin' is more and more of your posts) and cas fans reacting with a mixture of scorn, dislike and boredom. Well done.

I just don't like people spreading stuff that's not true about the club, the directors, the fans or anyone associated with it. Call it what you like, I call it honesty.
Who is doing that exactly? Are you still banging on about my comment about RW earlier in this thread which I did regret and retract and apologised for?
I am being honest and now you are calling me a liar! So who should apologise now I wonder?

Why don't you all just swap email addresses then you can talk drivel to each other as much as you like.

Actually Fully, you might be right here and I have seen some information today that leads me to believe, by admittedly reading between some lines a little, that Opus have seen the mutually beneficial advantage of the current situation and time-frame and indeed they are keen to gain maximum advantage for both Cas Tigers and themselves (and fair play to them!). So Fully, I apologise, I think you are probably correct about the example above (just that one mind! ) and stand corrected. This is looking more like Newmarket everyday, (the overall strategy, not the planning issues, which are very different). This is however a possible banana skin and if things didn't go the way Opus want them to, even though I think they ultimatley will, then you could be back to square one. Although to be fair, you all knew that, just as the Wakey fans do in respect of Newmarket as well.
However, the time-frame situation (because the information is the draft pre-dev/design programme, if you haven't guessed) doesn't change and you are going to struggle to start on GH before (or even at the same time) as Wakey could potentially start on Newmarket and if things go the way Opus are contingency planning for, then it could indeed be years with the potential answer still being a no... even though I don't think it will be! But you knew that too didn't you, if you are honest with yourself?
It just makes me believe evermore strongly that the RFL are gambling with two clubs who will, in all probability, get new grounds if given the next three years of security in SL to deliver their plans!

Why? Can't Wakefield deliver theirs if they are demoted to NL1?
Mr I.A - although a new comer to this forum I have watched it for some considerable time with some interest. Just an observation really but apologising is something that you could do a little better. Always seems a lttle half hearted or mitigated by other facts or information you make sure you include to soften that apology. Like I say it's just an observation and to be fair I could apply that observation to other posters not necessarily on this site. Right, now I've said my peace I'll batter down the hatches now and take cover.

Why do you ask? Can't Castleford deliver theirs if they are demoted to NL1?
Just seemed odd that you implied that both sides need to be in SL to deliver their respective stadiums. So on that basis, if Newmarket can be delivered with Wakefield in the Championship it doesn't matter what iota what division they are in for that aspect?
Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!
