No Cas fans are saying they are happy to be mediocre and get the odd win against the likes of Leeds and that they'd be happy with this. What some fans are saying is, we've have a tough time over the last few years and can see that to get back to where we were is a tough task but we can see positives for the future. We're having a pretty decent season so far, better than last year and better than 99% of Cas fans predicted. We can see that the likes of Westy, Shenny, Owen and the rest give us the prospect of a rosey future, especially with our academy doing well also. We have have the makings of a half decent squad sprinkled with some really good players such as Goldy, Chase and Sarge and this is a great foundation for a proper SL squad that can challenge for things. We are also excited about the prospect of a new stadium which could be the final piece in our jigsaw and give our coach, (yep some of us have had faith in him also) the opportunity to take our club forward.
Of course there's the other view, that when we lose a few games, we sack the coach, board and generally throw the teddy out.
We're not rose tinted though and we don't think everything everyone does at Cas is perfect. We see poor performances, coaching decisions and the seemingly at times really slow progress with the stadium. We yearn for the day when we will be top dog, winning everything in the land and having a side full of Cas born internationals. But when things don't happen like that over night, rather than as i said before, generally throwing the teddy out, many Cas fans (and a lot on here) would much prefer to discuss it and talk about where we're going right and wrong.
I've been plenty critical of certain players and decisions at Cas over the last year or 2, but I also recognise that we've done fantastically well this season and have an excellent platform to build on for next season.
Maybe if this was Year 3 of the franchise there would be reason to complain as much as some have. The future looks bright and amber I reckon.
thing is tiger pie if everyone who watches Cas were happy with our performances and standards over the last few years wed be in propper poop, even if we were the best teamin SL that is not an excuse to accept our lot and never change or look at ourselves to improve even more, some would be happy with a tick over team who supprise the odd big club here and there a bit like wakfeld, if thats what you want the club to be like kick on..............
Got to agree with a lot of that 1+1. I am of the opinion that too many cas fans on here are happy to accept the odd wins against the so called top teams while we're losing to sh*te clubs that shouldn't be in our league. I listen to comments on here like the top players aren't interested in signing for teams like Cas
It really does stick in my throat hearing stuff like that. If, (and I believe its a very big if), we do start challenging for honours again, I for one, will still have the odd question about tactics, players out of position, etc etc.
And of course if this is done in a new stadium with a team full of british talent, i'll be delighted, and give a big thumbs up to RW and the coach-whoever it may be

To get to that point we all want, the club has to improve year on year. You don't just expect us to go from being rock bottom one year to be challenging for honours. We've already surpassed the points we got last season and it shows we've improved - which is all we can ask for at the moment. We can still find faults in a lot of things - but we're not as willing to throw a hissy fit every time we lose because it's a hell of a lot better than the state we were in last year and the year before that. I think this is a case of some peoples expectations being too high.
Because those are the teams we've lost too and can't see any "sh*te clubs that shouldn't be in our league."
It's a competitive league, with the exception of Celtic I don't think there are any weak teams. And even then they seem to be improving.
Hissy fit lol why throw a hissy fit or the teddy out of the pram. if Cas crash and burn it will effect me not one jot, i will still have my home my job and a future, Cas RL is not the be all and end all of my life, my children fill that void. but when i see things not happening when i see points that could be addressed i will disscuss them with freinds family and especially on a forum a place where differing views are expressed and disscussed, i dont thin TM is a good enough coach he has IN MY EYES done nothing in the 4 years in charge to convince me otherwise, but im sure some on here will be at the opposite pole and would like his love child, this is what people are different with different views and if you dont like it dont post.........unless your a waky fan then just dont post

The problem with you is you don't know how to debate. No one is or has ever said people aren't entitled to an opinion. No one is or has said we should all agree on things. The problem is, when you say something and i/we disagree with you we say our point but when it's the other way around you say we're wearing rose tinted glasses, we're TMs love child, we're blinkered and all manner of pathetic little digs. It tells me you're not reading what we write and not prepared to listen to our reasons either. Funnily enough, there is a poster on Casforum with a similar name to you who i can't be bothered answering anymore for those reasons i stated.
So have your opinion and debate it, but if you're going to want TM sacking because we lost to Hull, Hull KR, Leeds, Saints, Hudds and Warrington then expect some on here to think you're an idiot.

Well said marshy, doubt he will take it in though. I dont want to get in the way of a discussion but I just thought I would edit your post ever so slightly for accuracy

I see where you edited my post, but i don't recall that game for some reason.
I think those particular whingers will be doing one of two things. Sat in the local working mans club with their pint and feeling sorry for themselves, or cheering on Cas and enjoying the win as if they're the best fan in the world.
as you say marahman little digs little digs............two camps whingers and RTB...got to say though the waky fans spending time in cas forum is good maybe they will see the light and come support the greatest team in the world.....or maybe not and carry on with wakfeld
