Castleford v Wigan is their highest attendance of their season by some distance so far! I don't know about anybody else but it seems the Cas fans turned up to watch Wigan. A hint of voyeurism I feel.

Wigan fans shouldn't worry though, we will have the highest average attendances come the end of the season - guaranteed.

Might have something to do with the fact we havent played a west yorkshire club at home yet, the attendance for leeds, bradford and wakefield is likely to be higher.

Dont let me get in the way of you having your head up your a*se though.

Our home attendances are pretty embarrassing at the moment never mind our away ones.

Hull brought the biggest contingent of away supporters to Cas that I've seen in a long time and yet the total attendance was just below 8000. When I got in the ground and looked around I was convinced we were outnumbered!

As a mate of mine commented at a home game a few weeks ago - there's a seriously negative vibe around Cas at the moment.

On the field there's not much to be positive about and off the field the new stadium is looking as much of a dream as it ever was. Many Cas fans seem convinced we'll fail in our bid for a franchise next time.

With all that in mind it's hardly surprising the vast majority of our fans found somert better to do with their afternoon than travel over to Wigan and pay £20 (or whatever it is these days) of their hard earned cash in a game we had no chance of winning...

£16 - best value entry fee in Rugby League IMO.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

It was always going to be a small turn out.

Were they boycotting our club last year in the play-offs?

2k down to 200. Pathetic.

Yeah because fans want to go watch that Cas team play now, look at the home attendances too, people do not want to pay to watch the same crap every week Matterson gives us, players out of position, capitulation at the start of the second half and Championship level fitness.

2006, we were bottom of the league. Look at our home attendances and see pictures of our away support!

Oh FFS. You had one poor season where you were unexpectedly bottom. You have not suffered two relegations, finished wooden spoonists twice.

Wigan and Cas are in no way comparable, nor should they be.
