With regards to the rangi chase incident. If chase made a balls of it then far enough.

But I would say when was last time you saw a voluntary tackle awarded on SL.

We had a grna dfinal decided by the lack of a penalty for a voluntary tackle.

You also had in the game tonight steve bell a couple of times he ran ball back from a kick near there line falling on floor and no one near him.

No penalty so cas player then had to touch him about 10 seconds after he fell on floor.

You kinda answer your own question here mate. ChAse wasn't pened for a volantry tackle he was pened for playing the ball without been held! Big difference and pens get given for that all the time!! I saw bell run near touch and just fall on the floor. Then a cas player jumped on him and the ref called held. If westerman just stood over bell and didn't touch him and bell plays the ball it would have been a pen, but westerman completed the tackle.

As a practising journalist, we have been taught at University to always double check sources, regardless of reliability. If you have more than source to back what you say up, then fair enough.

i watched the game on sky and to be perfectly honest thought the better team won, and although Smith [ who i normally hate ] made a few mistakes both sides suffered at his hands. what really p*ssed me off was the constant booing all through the match from a proportion of the Cas fans, its not nice to see/hear guys.

I do think that Cas fans get really over hyped with the ref and it being his fault, last night no Smith wasn’t perfect but the big decisions were right, we have seen time and time again Cas play well but not take the game, it could be some kind of mental toughness they lack or just plain bad planning and execution of a game plan, we can guess and assume but only comment on what we see, and I saw a team lose the lead and not recover make silly mistakes that cost them not only field position but points. they gave it their best shot but again came up too short, much much work to be done I hope we have the right people to do that work!!!.
As a note to the Mods I would like to comment on the waky trolls some who are mods themselves who frequent this board seemingly to aggravate and fish, if this was the wakfeld board some of the comments would have been deleted and some posters no doubt banned....I feel that the Mods need to get a grip of this situation and either sort it out or let someone else Mod who will. this is not a criticism just an observation, no doubt I will be heading for a ban for pointing this out but oh hum nothing new there now is there.

to be honest i cant see what the cas fans are moaning about, the chase incident was clear to anyone who knows the game of rugby league, chase collected a loose ball and rather than play on he chose to play the ball after a tackle by a ghost!
everything else i suppose is 50/50 you get them every game and had cas won i doubt many people would be too interested in what the ref didnt penalise catalans for.
