You have totally lost it. You had a rough deal I'll grant you but why assume you'd have won the game even if you got the rub of the green. To me Leeds looked the better team from start to finish.

It's not that we'd have necessarily won; that cannot be just guessed. However, those decisions did alter the course of the game and had we got one try, the momentum MAY have shifted and we'd have got the ball back.

It's history but the scoreline was harsh on Cas and we deserved more than just the single score on the board to show for our efforts, in particular the first half where we stood toe to toe with Leeds.

Nothing pal.

I have actually watched the replay, which many Cas fans will have found hard to do. Eddie and Stevo reitterate the exact comments you've made. We had a lot of territory and ball which we failed to capitalise on... Apparently.

Goodbye all. It was nice knowing most of you.

One thing I forgot to mention was that we heeled a scrum against the head as well. We laughed about it at the time!

Both calls were very harsh and it should have been 8/12 - 12 at half time but it doesn't change the 6 - 30 second half score, at half time the game (at 2 scores) was not beyond Cas.

In terms of invention and creativity, Cas were the better team for the first half - no question. They dominated possession and territory, got some bad calls and had the controversial calls gone the other way, Cas would have been comfortably in the lead at half time. So, I'm sorry but you are completely wrong when you say that Leeds looked the better team from start to finish... put simply, they didn't.

Well it's all about opinions and mine is that Leeds were better from start to finish. If your definition of creativity is Chase or Orr running like headless chickens along the line then you won it hands down. If you see creativity as actually moving your team forward and scoring then Leeds had it.

I don't doubt you got some tough calls, don't we all. However the assumption that had you got the right calls it would have affected the result is hugely debatable on recent form. You built up an impressive lead against a Wakefield team that is a wee bit weaker than Leeds only to lose it. I would confidently predict owt we can do they can do better.

So put simply and thanks for the advice but in my opinion Leeds looked like they would win it from the start to me.

Which is why Cas got over the line 3 times, were held up inches short on one occasion and spent most of the first 40 attacking in the Leeds half of the pitch.

So tell me where I said we would have won it had the calls gone our way. All I was saying was that we looked good in the first half and we had more go forward and creativity than Leeds.

I appreciate that. It's just that your opinion is groundless.

When i see a forward pass by any team on sky it's wrong if it isn't picked up. If it was cas i would say so. We keep getting told that over the course of a season it all levels out, i don't buy into this as a previous poster mentioned saints are well known for it.
The problem is not the players it's the refs and linesmen which let teams get away with it because if they did pull it every time we wouldn't have a free flowing game. What we need to do IS PULL IT UP EVERY TIME then the players would have no choice but to comply. It would spoil the game but in the long term supporters wouldn't think the refs are bent.
Will it happen no, not a chance imagine playing the kiwis/aussies we would be playing different games. Does it need to happen? something needs to happen because too many fans are becoming fed up.

It's the RFL that are completely at fault, they want what they think is best for the game and sadly that hasn't been the case for decades.
In terms of refereeing the game, stricter & consistant enforcement of the rules which are being broken by players/coaches (deliberately or not) would ensure that we have a much cleaner game with fewer perceptible infringments in the long run. If players know they are going to be pulled up then they won't do it, simple. The knock on (pardon the pun) effect means as you say fans are no longer left feeling bitter about results/decisions made on any given match.

By allowing such things as wrestling and 'flat' or slightly forward passes go by it means coaches and players push the legality of the rules to such an extent that to pull each infringement up is deemed poor refereeing. The players are then at fault NOT the officials.

I'd have to disagree with whowever said it is harder to spot a forward pass when it is short, the short penultimate pass for the Leeds try in question was by far the easiest to see (AND clearly FORWAAAAARD..lol), the 2 Cas one's were 50/50 however based on previous officating standards throughout SL for years they should have stood.
Gotcha

You don't buy into it? honestly?

I suggest you watch a video of your game against Crusaders earlier this year. If you can honestly come back on here and say that four of your tries were not forward with one been the worst you will have seen in last 10 years, then fair enough. I hope you have more about you though, and will come back and accept that yes, they actually do even themselves out.
