nice to see the vast majority of cas fans taking the correct stance on this one. but then again never really expected anything different the knobs who threw the bottles probably couldn't give a flying @@@@ about castlefords reputation , Lucky it was not caught on sky

as for punishment its up to the proper cas fans with any information to pass it on to the club , why should the team suffer 2 points due to the actions of morons if this was to happen then it would encourage some idiots to get recognition.

just an opinion

then you shouldnt really be going to a sports event if you have to resort to a major dummy spit by throwing bottles because your team lost

Right Lets get some truth back in this thread.

Firstly at the end of the game some idiot threw 1 bottle onto the pitch. then Oliver Elima and a couple of other players came down to the weldon road end making hand gestures at the cas fans and calling them a word that rhymes with BANKERS. After they did this then other plastic bottles were thrown. I am not saying that this is acceptable but we need some truth in this matter and not speculation. In my opinion i hope the powers that be at Red Hall look at this incident as this caused a lot of problems.

Then one of the stewards either kicked or threw a bottle back into the crowd which narrowly missed a lady at which point her husband tried to get to the field but was held back by his friends. There was then a heated argument between fans and stewards as the fans tried to get something done about the steward who was just smiling smuggly at everyone.

These are the facts I was there not a mate of a mate who spoke to someone stood in the hotdog queue.

I hope that the club have footage of the idiots who threw the bottles and ban them, and I hope the steward who thought it would be a good idea to send one back into the crowd never works down the lane again, but I really hope the RFL take action against the catalan players who were making obsene gestures to the crowd, they weren't celebrating a win they were using fowl and abusive language which lets face it if they were doing it on the street they could be arrested and charged for.

Richard Wright and the club need to make a stand here, make sure idiots are removed from the ground and report players who are inciting trouble.

Is that not called crowd incitement, the player/players who incited the crowd should get a right ticking off.
I also hope the RFL will look into it, but lets not forget calalans are the RFL's blue eyed boys

Poppy's mum you are correct. I remember when we played whitehaven in the grandfinal and tommy haughey kissed his badge infront of the whitehaven fans. Steve Ganson pulled him up and said he had a responsibility to act correctly and not do anything which could risk public safety or disorder.

Something threw a bottle at the ref at Odsal last week after the Saints match. Basil Richards (the Bulls Assistant Coach) went mad stould with the stewards trying to pick the person out. He looked disgusted.

I felt embarrassed to be stood on the same terrace as that person. Whatever the provocation there is a line of how you react that you can't cross.

I feel sorry for you genuine rugby league fans that had to witness that crap from people wearing the same shirt as you because I felt the same last week.

don't think that is quite right . elima got the mom and was being interviewed on sky. he also was signing autographs for some kids, at the corner where the closed stand meets the open terrace. i saw no trouble with the vast majority of cas fans. they were having a laugh with a few catalans fans that were there. every club has a few idiots, should be weeded out.

For what its worth I thought that IAn SMith was right on the Rangi Chase voluntary tackle decision and should have gone to the screen for the Pelo try, but the issue mainly rests with the video ref which I think is a flawed idea but.....

....my main issue is the bottles at the end of the game. We embarrased ourselves and the minority damaged the clubs reputation. We all had something to say when Leeds did it in 2006 but it was pathetic. Noone can tell me Ian Smith's performance makes that happen.

I said the same about Leeds in 2006 and I'll say the same again - any club who's fans throw things at players should have a 2 point deduction. So Leeds in 2006 and us now should have lost 2 points due to missiles being thrown on the pitch.

Both calls were correct but I agree were harsh but that's life. What no one seems to have noticed is that Pelo was tackled head high IMO and a penalty try could easily have been awarded. Again it was as close to a double movement as you can get without actually being one. Truth is your team lost the game because they are not fit and couldn't last the 80 and Catalan could despite the spirited comeback from you lot...

As for the incident, these things happen and it's best IMHO if people don't make a fuss.
