As much as it is dissapointing to lose Joe i think this is a good deal for all concerned. Last season Joe was a shadow of the player he was in 2007 and 2008 and to an extent 2009. He was usually always the first player off the pitch at the end of games and was known to be part of the drinking culture at Cas. I dont think he would have improved under Matterson and the statement by RW says pretty much he did not want to stick around. Getting a fee for an unhappy player is good for us and it gives us some money to bring in 1 or 2 players. I think Joe will go well at Hull and hope a change will do him good. In return we lose a young star which yes it doesnt seem good, but with Joes known drinking and unhappyness i think it is the best move for us and him.
