That's more all the fans are together as opposed to all being sat down though.

Exactly, at away grounds you find that all the vocal fans congregate at the back normally but that can happen in seated or standing stadiums. I'd like the option to stand up please.

Heard anything about any progress with Hicksons?
Will that impact on j32 or was that just another rumour that did the rounds?

Hicksons only impacts on its surrounding area where the Jungle is now, it has no bearing on any building work at Junc 32 Glasshoughton whatsoever.

No, there was a rumour that we wouldn't be receiving the money from the company that bought the land where the stadium is now unless the Hicksons site was declared safe or something along those lines.

Money will have a massive impact on any building work at Junc 32 Glasshoughton.

So SWC, to answer your question, there hasn't been any further talk on this matter to my knowledge. Hopefully in this case it was just a rumour.

Well that's good! While they do say no news is good news I some how don't think it fit's to the scenario of building a stadium.
In all honestly to you lot, most of my bitterness to the J32 project came from fear, Thornes had been hijacked and ruined by Box and his cronies and I was scared we would A) end up in the championship after over a decade of hard graft. Or B) end up sharing with you as tenants.
I can admit some of my comments were offensive, and for that i apologise, but as i have explained i hope you could empathise with that fear.

Keep your ears to the ground chaps.... There's something big coming...

Cas & Ponte today says there's something next Monday going in the info centre? and with the architects to be appointed "shortly" everything must be in place now to get finished off for the summer start date which has been touted by a couple of the bidding companies so far.

I don't think many people took what you said to heart and passed you off as a troll tbh mate, but I'm pretty sure that other then a MASSIVE bump in the road both teams will at the very least have half built stadiums by 2011, with both teams more then likely starting the 2011 season in shiny new stadiums that will be the envy of most of the league :D

And of course, who could forget this classic:

Sandal Wild Cat wrote:
it's our city and our council, MOST Castleford residents don't see themselves as being part of Wakefield in any Sense, so why not push for your own council? oh yeah because you would be majorly out of pocket. Castleford has no economy with j32 apart. Very little industry and what would be very little income to any such council. I make no claims of liking Cas, but this has nothing to do with rugby, i don't see the point of carrying and paying for a region that holds no allegiance to the wider district that fronts the bill.

Yes a pool being built at j32 paid for by WMDC angered me, and many others in Wakefield, after OUR council took our facilities away and has all but shelved a promise to build new facilities in the hub of our district.
I for 1 am in favour of an independent Castleford
