I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

I like to see a team win away and win well, a bit like when Salford knocked Hull out of the cup last season, fair and square.

Congratulations. You've just shown that you are either:

OR

2. Someone who doesn't understand the laws of the game.

Or possibly both.

Ok, while we're bringing up other decisions in the game:

Cockayne knocking the ball out of Ainscough's arms into touch + Ainscough tackled in the air by Welham - Hull KR head & feed - WRONG
Dobson knocks on an up & under, makes a break gets a good 70 yard - play on - WRONG
Watts incorrect play the ball & obstruction - try given - WRONG
Welham offside for Cockayne try - try given - WRONG
Newton elbows Higgins in the face - Hull KR penalty - WRONG
Ainscough disallowed try with no conclusive evidence - No try - WRONG

Oh and there was no obstruction on any Cas try, just dummy runners - big difference.

Should through them tainted specs away mate.... will spoil your entertainment 8)

Some exerts taken from the Rugby League laws Book:

SECTION 10
KNOCK-ON AND FORWARD PASS

Accidental 2. If, after knocking-on accidentally, the player
knocking-on regains or kicks the ball before it
touches the ground, a goal post, cross bar or an
opponent, then play shall be allowed to proceed.
Otherwise play shall stop and a scrum shall be
formed except after the fifth play-the-ball.

After a player, from the field of play, knocks on into his
opponent’s in-goal area and he or a colleague touches down,
play is restarted with a scrum where the knock-on occurred,
except after a play-the-ball subject to Section 12, Law 10.

SECTION 6
SCORING – TRIES AND GOALS

Try – How scored 3. A try is scored when:–
(a) a player first grounds the ball in his opponents’
in-goal, provided that he is not in touch or touch
in-goal or on or over the dead ball line.
(b) opposing players simultaneously ground the ball
in the in-goal area provided that the attacking
player is not in touch or touch in-goal or on or
over the dead ball line.

When an attacking player fails to ground the ball correctly,
play continues unless an illegal event has occured , e.g. a
knock-on or the ball goes dead.

SECTION 11
THE TACKLE AND PLAY-THE-BALL

(e) When the ball touches the ground it must be
heeled (i.e. backwards) by the tackled player. The
ball must not be kicked or heeled by the player
marking him.
The ball is in play when it has been played
backward.

You Guys decide!?
