Salford City Reds have banned three supporters from travelling to away fixtures for the rest of the season after a number of minor incidents at the Castleford Tigers away game last week. To be honest im surprised they weren't escorted out at the time but at least justice has been served.

Slightly bizarre punishment IMO when they can still attend home matches

Slightly bizarre was the fan (?) when we got to the Railway end.

"Yes shouting and screaming your only beating f'#*ing Salford, were sh~t, we are dog sh#t, you aren't beating St's or Leeds you know...."


I could only reply "No we haven't played them yet"

Had that flare gone off in a player's face it could have blinded them for life. Was obviously pretty toxic stuff as even as far away as half way down the Princess Street you could pick up the strong scent from it. Complete morons - glad that at least some action has been taken.

It was a smoke grenade rather than a flare. Also seemed like some of the stuff thrown was aimed at the Salford players.

The smoke grenade hit the pitch about a foot away from Owen. I think the rest of the stuff was aimed at the Salford players though.

We were at the railway end both halfs. In the first half one youth lit one of the smoke granades and threw it on the floor, it landed an inch away from my girlfriends back. The smoke chocked everyone and was rank. A bad decision by the ref set the Reds fans off to which i spoke to one and agreed it was a bad decision. At that point i got a torrent of abuse telling me to f**k off. My mother got so scared with the aggression that she dragged my dad off to the other side. Second half, one of them threw the smoke granade at richie and then threw the bottle at the lines man.
At the same time we need to sort the few young lads out that stand at from of railway end. They constantly taunt the away fans. One of them threw a bottle at a salford fan to which i gave him a good speaking to and moved them along.

very poor these people should not be aloud in any ground but is too hard to stop them.rugby league dont need these people
