Westy's kicking has already won us points we may have lost, more to come too :D

Must admit, whenever I've seen Westy kick in the past he always looked a very promising marksman & I was a bit surprised he hasn't done the job more regularly.

I understand the argument that it heaped more pressure on his young shoulders at a time when there was already a lot of expectation on him. Presumably with the 'expectation' having died down somewhat so that he's now just a normal part of the team he can shoulder the kicking duties.

Lets not forget though that Dixon also won us 1 or 2 games early season through some good goalkicking - Hull away & Bradford at home spring immediately to mind.

Don't think you'll get anyone knocking Dixon, but having lost more than our share of games be 2 points, it makes me wonder what position we could have been in now if Westy had been given the job earlier and had this level of success :!:

True but he'd definitely make a better job of it than Faumina and Goldie's lost his confidence, or the plot...or both.

OK, I am mad, but that's the point you've made, he's a damn good option. IMO he has all the skills to do the job.

I would love to question your opinion of Goldie there, but I can't. JW when he was playing youth rugby was an excellent 6 and he also took all the kicks, would be a good option at 6 and move Ryan Mc to loose.

i was suprised myself to see westy pop so many over.. however one can only feel he lacks in organisation skills and maybe a bit of pace to be a 6.
