Up until a few months ago this guy was easily my favorite player - then I just thought "bad form" then it was "doesn't care" now it's quite clear: he is clearly a lunatic

I personally think he's very low on confidence. He's gone from being the top dog at Cas with the fans to playing second fiddle to a certain Mr. Chase.

No fault of anybody that Chase has become the new golden boy with the fans but it's probably strange for Goldy as I believe that's what he thrives off. He likes to entertain the fans and lately our attentions have been diverted elsewhere.

It might sound like a ridiculous theory to many, and even to myself, but it really wouldn't surprise me if this has affected his confidence.

I don't agree with all this "let's get rid of him" nonsense. I think it's time we got behind him, supported him and hopefully get him back to his best.

Sadly there is no danger of Goldy having a special tattoo for the Grand Final win that we'll not be having.

This thread is daft (EDIT- The "shalll we send Goldy home thread" - posted in wrong place - tool! sorry) - our depth of squad is the problem here - not individual players.

If everyone goes back and reads the start of season posts - we were all happy with 1 to 17 but thought we were skinny after that.

Certain that we had to progress and anything better than 10th was seen to be a clear progression.

Ryan McGoldrick was flawed, he isn't Darren Lockyear and can play any backline position to international standard, but he showed us loyalty when we were relegated and puts his hand up, whether fully fit or not.

So, was Friday bad - hell yes.
Do we have some problems - hell yes.
Is Goldy out of form - Again yes.

But, did we expect to be thin if we had 1-17 injuries - yes we did and we are.
Will we finish 10th or better - yes.

Overall, being balanced, not emotional over the last few weeks but OVERALL - Has Goldy been good for us with his versatility and loyalty - yes.

Here Here ffs what is wrong with our Fans, Have they never played the game never had a period where however much you try it turns to sh*t, Then you get so scared to do the sh*t you shy away from all, Confidence low, shattered, now the fans on your back !!

I like his sleeves (very good) but the ink on the body is a step too far imho, still the lad looks in good shape.

He was poor in NL1 and really poor last season tho, imo, I hope his early season form was not a flash in the pan, and he gets back to how he was playing then. He's obviously got some talent. (still cant see how he deserved a 4 year contract).

There's no way he'll be leaving us, unless a team comes in and makes an offer for him, which i can't see happening. We need to get behind him, and see if he can regain his form for the remaining games.
