Have to agree the punishment was harsh, especially when the club quickly put plans into motion to ensure this didn't happen again, or that at least the perpetrators could be identified.

Got to agree with the club here. When KR let their fans have it out with FC fans on the pitch they were given a much smaller fine

I can't see it being successful and would rather have seen the club just accept the punishment so long as any further incidents at other clubs are punished in the same manner.

Time and money spent appealing this could be used on the stadium project.

It's not about getting out, I think everyone agrees the club was at fault and deserves punishment, but the severity of the punishment is OTT given precidents of recent seasons

This is the first case the NEW hard line on clubs . look back on coaches comments and fines this year. next step it will be players .
at junior level (from 8s-15s) this has been brought in..

ZERO TOLERANCE

The new season has got under way and there have been many changes done in the close season. All teams now have a Touchline Manager in place who's duty it is to discourage abuse from any of their own supporters against themselves, referee's, players, club officials and opposing spectators for whatever reason at any of our games. The YJ Management will take severe action which may include hefty fines and touchline bans to anyone found guilty of any form of abuse at their games. You have been warned please take notice of this warning and try to conduct yourselves in the correct manner even when things are not going your way.
