is he really a loss ? just every time i see him he looks fat and unfit and does not do a great deal. I am sure you have better in your system than another overpaid Aussie ??? Correct me if I am wrong

Fat and unfit maybe, but he is a decent player. Good tackler and runner and he does seem to be improving game by game. And (as you lot found out) he knows how to get over the white wash.

Widders seems like a very clever player, watching the Leeds game on DVD the other day you could see him telling Chase that he was going to run in on the angle for that pass that sent him over at the end. He then moved behind the play of the ball and ran straight through the gaping hole in Leeds' defence.

Maybe I'm being too kind to Dean, but it looked to me like he was organising the play as opposed to Chase.

His size is deceptive, he's never looked "fit" but has proven his pace a number of times and has already become a firm favourite amongst the Cas fans. I can see him getting quite a few more tries this season once he's back from injury.

On another note, his "Widders' Wrap-Up" thing on the official site is great viewing. Seems like a very funny and likeable guy.

Ditto that. Probably Kirk Netherton to fill the bench spot and Stuart Jones to be used in the back row rather than replacement dummy half.

Which is what I think we were lacking on Saturday. Soon as Hudson went off (on both accounts) we seem to lose direction.
