"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"
Apart from coming on as a sub against us on Sunday this lad 's last/only other first team run out was as a sub in July 2008 (according to his stats on the Goon's site).
Is he really that much better than some of our youngter's to go straight into our first team?
This club is being shown up now....as though we are actively challenging for a Top 8 spot whenwe are getting players who use us for experience. Feels like i support York now not Cas.
I'm torn on this decision because whilst I think bringing in other players at the moment to cover for our injuries is necessary I do feel we should be giving our own players a chance too.
In the short term, having young players from other SL clubs who are eager to impress their own coaches can only be good for us on the field but at what cost to our own youth development?
I would suggest to any Cas fan right now that given the choice of Thompson or Ainscough they would select Ainscough and given the choice of Cooper or Massey they would select Cooper because they have impressed for us. If Tusan does the same then I don't think many fans will be complaining.
However, the likes of Thompson, Davies and Massey have been given chances already this season and I'm sure they will get more. These players will no doubt be disappointed that we're choosing to bring in other players but they need to react positively and continue knocking on that door and to take these opportunities when they do arise and give the coaching staff no alternative but to play them each week. IMO Massey hasn't done that yet. Many will argue that Thompson deserves to play this weekend, me being one of them. I can't comment on Davies having not seen much of him yet.

Hey, with my post code i've got a chance of a month too!!!
This second loan has really sickened me, my club is now officially second rate, in the same group as salford and quins. All heading in the same direction.
