The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

Ponte & Cas Express article Published Date: 05 April 2010
DISGRUNTLED Castleford Tigers fans staged a protest at the rear of the main stand after Monday's 52-18 home defeat against St Helens.

Please don't copy a story from an external source in its entirety - you should provide the headline or opening sentence and include a link to the source. For further details, please refer to the AUP. Bonzo

Terry and Wright, there is a big difference between an 'excuse' and a 'reason' for how the club and team is crumbling. When you continue to state the obvious time after time, it is quite clearly and 'excuse' and smoke screen for why you are not up to the job!!

So, Terry & Wrighty, why have we got such a small squad? Isn't it your job to sort out the size and depth of squad that we need?? Or is it a case of wasting disproportionate amounts of money on certain players, when we could get 2 players twice as good for half the price. Hence, more depth in the squad.

So don't look quite so surprised next time when people tell you that you haven't got a clue!! We can see your 'excuses' and you two are the 'reason' why we are in a mess!

The small squad excuse is becoming a joke now. Like you say it is up to them to recruit and make sure we have an in depth squad capable of competing

I seem to recall we have had this excuse ever since Terry took over.

Fair enough we lost some cash after being fined for the morons throwing bottles, but surely we could of done better than this. even if it means bringing in NL players that can do a job in SL or promoting youngsters

If rumour are correct Shirwin £150k/year, McGoldrick £120K/year, Hudson £120K/year that's £390K per year on 3 players. All on 3 and 4 year deals...well that's over £1M of the clubs money invested in 3 players alone. It makes the fine look like a drop in the ocean.

Those figures are facts. Also those salaries are pretty hard to justify in my opinion.

I could see them salaries being somewhere near correct. Didnt we throw stupid money at Snitch to get him here to cas? Also Hudson away from Huddersfield. We threw stupid money at Korkidas to get him here also.

Thing is (if true) for those salaries the club could get players with origin or international experience,or current England internationals.

We as a club are very poor with player's contracts. To give player's 4 year contracts to anybody other than young, talented home grown players is daft.
