Perhaps the penny will drop that the PLAYERS are responsible for not doing the job they are well (and some cases over) paid to do!

But will they be sacked?

Simple answer - NO !!!!

Not unless you have room under the cap to pay off each and every one of them, for their FULL length of remaining contract, and then hire new players - All within this year's SC limit.

At Wakefield our failing sliding defence isn't one players fault.

I know the one man I'd blame for that poor tactic though

Coaches are responsible for tactics and motivation and getting the best out of players, if they can't get those right then the players likely won't do it themselves. Matterson should go, a new coaching impetus would do you good. A good coach wouldn't take a lazy approach from the players if attitude is part of the problem.

Every team has an Hendo (well 3 years ago they nearly did) and if your Hendo is off-loading 5 yards out on the 1st tackle it's up to the captain or coach to get the message out to stop friggin doing it.

The club is effectively dead. No stadium, no decent team, no decent coach, dwindling crowds.. I just don't know where we go from here. It's our lowest point since we were relegated in '06.

Matterson should resign himself.
