Sherwin & Mcgoldrick : Tue May 04, 2010 11:25 am
Just wondered if anyone fancied singing their praises over the weekends performance. Personally I thought both of them were excellant. Especially Shifty who was superb at scrum half for the full 80 minutes.

Seems there are a lot of fans who are quick to crtitcise and not quite so quick to praise when its deserved.

Well done lads, you were brilliant at the weekend, lets have more of the same against Quins, 3 on the bounce!

Always been a fan of Goldy. He's been moved about that much his head must be spinning. And this year at fullback he's not dropped too many high balls.

Sherwin is fustrating to watch. I want an experience scrum half to take over and marshall his troops. But he doesn't seem to talk very much at all on the field. Chase is generally left running the show.

Full credit to both Shifty and Goldy. I thought either of them could have been awarded the MOM award.

Sherwin's first try had an element of luck about it but it was great to see the inventive play with the little chipped kick out to Dixon and then Sherwin to grab the ball and finish the play he started.

I would love to see Sherwin hit a good patch of form now and prove some of the doubters wrong. Whilst he has obviously not been value for money in terms of his injuries I still think he has plenty to offer us.

I thought they both played really well hopefully they can get some confidence for the games to come, when sherwin, chase and mcgoldrick are on form we can beat anyone.

The (perhaps unfortunate) fact remains that when Goldy plays well and/or Shifty plays at all we stand a far better chance of winning.

Here we go again - another fan who apparently works in the wages department at Cas RLFC. Cas wages department must employ more people than Burberrys and Nestle put together. :?

Goldy was and is class, Shifty was OK for me. Half decent kicking game for once, but Rangi was a threat every time he touched the ball, and a decent kicking game too. Rangi and Goldy for me were the stars. Not Sherwin.

You know what, I was thinking about this too - I find it hard to get too giddy about 1 good and 1 quality performance - but Shifty himself must be looking at the back and of this season and thinking how he wants to sign off from the game..... Doggies fans would be shocked to see how he was almost shuffling away un-noticed.

I think something inside him has changed he looked different - he won't want to bitch out at the end of a highly successful career - I think and I hope there is more to the man than that - watch this space I hope for the remainder of this term.
