First of all, when most of us found out about our injury problems coming into the game, plenty of us wrote us off and just hoped we wouldnt lose by a big margin.But, I must say with the team we had out, playing 3 youngsters who only have a handfull of games between them, only 2 out and out props, a full back who was struggling from the off. I must say the team put in a great performance yesterday and they should hold their heads up high.
For most of the game we looked more likely victors but we just couldnt get over the line. Im not sure how many breaks we made which we couldnt turn into points which would of seen us win the game.
I am very gutted as we all will be but at the same time we should be proud of the team as they put in a great performance under our circumstances. so well done lads!!!!!!
However, I do believe Matterson made a mistake by playing Wainwright and Arundel together on one side. Don't get me wrong, both players are capable of doing the job when asked upon but to play them together and making them defend against an England winger in Fox and there centre who played good made them look poor. All four of KR's tries came on their side and Matterson should of noticed this early on and changed things around. Now I know playing Shenny and Dicko together works a treat both in attack and defence but without a strong defence you dont win games so If injuries are the same in 2 weeks when we play Leeds I hope Terry sorts it or Leeds will run riot down their side.
As I said before though Great performance by us just very gutting on the result of the game.
One final thing can anyone please tell me who give the final 2 penalties away and what the reasons were for to help KR win?
