No nose-bleeds for this team.... : Sun Mar 06, 2011 10:45 pm
Three in a row...and more to come ? Quite possibly.

The WCC-caused cancellation of the trip to Wigan was more than timely and it has opened up the possibility of a very impressive start to the season.

Looking at the fixtures I think there is a decent chance - injuries permitting - of the Tigers can remain unbeaten until Easter Monday. Certainly on home soil.

The second-half display today was very professional, far too much for Hull KR, and the youngsters are growing in confidence.

Holmes and Milner looked good, Clark brilliantly scored the first of what will be many tries for the club and with a bit more steadiness it could have been a greater victory.

And to have the likes of Steve Snitch, Ryan Hudson, Nick Fozzard, Willie Isa and Richard Owen on the sidelines underlines the strength in depth.

The run-in to Easter Monday is:-

Catalans (H)
Bradford (a)
Crusaders (H)
Hull (a)
Salford (H)
Harlequins (a)
Wakefield (H)

then Saints (a) on Easter Monday followed by Leeds at home.

Bradford away and Hull away are the obvious ones out of them games that could result in a loss. Quins could also be tricky imo. I think the rest are winnable. We really need to turn our home ground into a fortress like the old days when teams feared coming to Cas

Well done on being top......I agree, the above games are all winnable.....but beware the French and Salford both teams are better than they have shown thus far.....and of course we will spank you when you come to town
A Friday night game for some strange reason.......will many of you be pulling a "sickie" that day I wonder :D

Once again...well done. Good to see someone else at the top (and HKA near the bottom :thumb: )

Quins fan aren't ya? Me the family are already booked in t' capital for t' weekend. So at least 2 people from Cas for that one.

I'm not into the predictions thing. On paper you could say we've got a decent run coming up but i can still see plenty of opportunity for us to slip up or be brought down a peg. I'll stick to just looking forward to the coming fixture and hoping for a good display (win being a bonus). Catalans will be tough I feel and i'd be tempted to rest Clark and bring in Hudson along with at least Fozzard.

Corrected.

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. Who needs flankers' grammar was actually correct.

HTH.

I believe Gutterfax is a Hull fan - the comment about HKA[HKR?] being near the bottom is a bit of a giveaway?

The old cliche of 1 game at a time holds true here - if we win on Saturday I'll feel optimistic of our chances of winning the next at Bradford and so on.

In all honesty a more realistic return is 4 wins from our next 7 games which would put us on 7 wins after 11 rounds (us & Wigan having only played 10 matches) and surely leave us in the upper echelons of the table which will do very nicely!
