Wow, what an up and down season we have had with 6 big rounds to go and a quater final. At start of season I Predicted 7/10 first games then 3/10 in middle section. I kind of got it spot on as we did have 20 points as predicted so im guna have a bash at final 6 games. Having looked at Salford and Bulls final games I now think they are out of contention, leaving us, Leeds and the 2 Hulls fighting for 6th to 9th.

Start with us:
Crusaders v Castleford Tigers - WIN BY 8
Castleford Tigers v St. Helens - LOSE BY 18
Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers - LOSE BY 20
Wakefield Wildcats v Castleford Tigers - WIN BY 14
Castleford Tigers v Hull FC - Tough call
Hull Kingston Rovers v Castleford Tigers LOSE BY 6

This giving us 26/28 points and roughly -60pd.

Leeds i believe will beat:
Hull (home advantage) Salford, us, Wakey and Quins
Giving Leeds 31 points and 6th spot.

Hull FC i believe will beat:
Crusaders and either us or Catalan at home giving them 25 points, maybe 27.

KR i believe will beat:
Salford, bulls and us giving them 24points.

This meaning i think the table will finish:
6) Leeds
7)us or Hull
Hull or us
9) KR

So I believe our home game with Hull is huge meaning the difference between Leeds away (winnable), or saints/catalan away. Not so winnable.

How do you lot think it will shape up?

Lose by 20 to Leeds? Really? They look, pardon my French, sh.....awful. They are there for the taking and we should be beating Crusaders and Wakefield. I'd fancy us against KR/FC as well if we can keep Ben Davies, Parker (permitting they retain/are in form) and have Emmitt, Fozzard, Jackson to rotate around well.

Thing is with Leeds they raise there game when we play them. As proven already. Hull KR Away is a place we will struggle and if we are already in top 8 i believe T.M will rest a few players.

I think another 3 wins from our last 6 games ( 28pts ) should guarantee a top 8 place . We have 4 away games though which will be tough . Hopefully we can nick a win or two on our travels , but with Saints and Hull to come at home , 6 more points may still be difficult . That said , we are in 6th at moment with a 4 point gap to HKR and Salford in 9th/10th , so 4 more points may be enough . I would almost give up 8th spot TBH if it meant we were given a franchise , but to achieve both would be fantastic , especially if we can get to Wembley !!!

I think a lot will depend on what is happening with the CC when the latter games roll round....... the weeks before and after the quarters and semi's could be messy depending which teams make it through and what their priority is.
If we made the semi's for instance (BIG IF!) then you would argue then that the posibility of making a final would be more important than making the 8? Given the liklihood of winning a 1 off final is greater than getting to the GF, let alone winning it?

On league position, you could make a case for us winning all bar one of those fixtures, but on form and desperation, you could probably make a tangible argument for us losing all of them! If we EITHER make the 8 or get to the CC final, I think that is successful even if we don't then win either. BUT the nightmare scanario is we have a heart breaker in the CC and slip to 9th, that would be a disservice to our season..... But it is not how you start, it is how you finish.

both games against both cods will be massive!
