I fail to see why we are using a young and inexperienced prop like Davies to benefit his development for Wigan when we Steve Snitch available with all his experience. If TM doesn't rate him enough to play him then why did he buy him, surely he deserves a fair crack of the whip, what are your views.

I do find it odd that Steve gets left out of the team quite a lot, considering how stuck we are for size up front at present. He has played a fair bit of rugby at prop as far as I'm aware, and I would have thought he would make the side. Clearly TM prefers to go with Olly Holmes in the back row when he is fit it seems. I am hoping that Ben Davies is worth a shot, it would be nice if he could turn out to be a good signing for us while we are without Emmit/Fozzard.

To be honest, I was quite surprised we didn't attempt to sign Ben Cross until the end of the season. Not entirely sure how or why he ended up at Wigan though!

I think Steve Snitch has been very poor this season. Relatively unimpressed with him.

Few things here, Steve Snitch does not seem to have had a regular run in spite of seemingly being a possible answer to one of our problems. Not sure why, but I am a manager, not a superleague coach!

Ben Cross has a single use case only in a dominant pack being told by a pair of halves where to stand, what to wear and where to put every single foot, which is no use to Leeds or us. (If you think I am bagging him, I would give my left knacker to be as great as he is, I would give a lung for what I dreamed of in RL compared to what he has actually done). Plus of course, Cross is the past, we seem to be looking to the future..... There is more for us to play Thompson and Holmes and Whacker and Clarke than a 30+ Aussie?

Gutten Hoffman is leaving Wigan, which indicates to me that we are freshening up Davis for them as oppposed to any chance of actually signing him.

Snitch hasn't impressed me at all this season

Cross would have filled a gap for the rest of the season with injuries

Just had a scan gonna be out for at least 3 weeks, torn my tricep and some tendon damage.

I don't think Snitch has been given a fair crack of the whip. IIRC he was in the opening side at the millenium magic which suggests Matterson had him down as part of his 1st choice 17 at the start of the season. He then lost his place due to suspension and doesn't seem to have been able to regain it despite playing fairly well whenever he's been given a chance.

I've put it down to one of those rare occasions (Damien Blanche, Keith Mason) where Matterson has somert against the player that is invisible to us mere mortals...
