What was all the more remarkable was Leeds were missing about 6 first teamers that night IIRC.
No Paul Dixon, Carl Gibson, Ellery Hanley, Dave Heron, Cavill Heugh, Craig Innes, Colin Maskill, and Shaun Wane.

My favourite was one of Peter Fox's last games in charge when we went to Leigh (date TVOC?).
It was the 23rd November 1986, Leeds lost 20 points to 8 in front of a paltry 2,500 crowd. Fox hung on for three more games before being sacked for Christmas.

Yes Irving was playing, IIRC kicked a goal from the touchline. Gallagher scored his first try for us that day. You're right about the low turnout from us as we had made an awful start but we all went mental when Gallagher scored.
23rd September 1990. Tries from John Gallagher, Paul Dixon and Carl Gibson with 5 goals from simon Irving.

Hull FC in the Regal Trophy in about 92. Schofield got the winning try, picking up a loose ball near his own posts and going the length of the field. That shut the codheads up who had been giving him non stop abuse as usual. More memorable for me as it was the first time I'd seen us win at the Boulevard. Think it was also the game when Ellery got his jaw smashed to pieces by Andy Dannatt.
Correct it was the same game. 23rd November 1991, won 12-4 with Leeds' other try coming from Gary Divorty and two goals added by Simon Irving again.
