Gidley and Sandow ripping apart a patched up Cas team at home is no great barometer is it, after all both have had their moments in the almighty NRL.
How many SL clubs are patched up these days? Weren't Warrington patched up against Leeds in Round 1? A patched up state is perhaps a useful descriptive of SL itself? After all, it doesn't take much for any SL side to be "patched up" given that none of the SL clubs can even operate a reserve grade. SL is arguably only pretending to be a professional competition.
On the topic of Gidley and Sandow, I'm sure they have had their individual NRL moments. The same cannot be said for how their clubs have performed. Sandow never experienced a single play-off finals fixture in his eight seasons of NRL. Gidley's club was more successful but it was a long time ago. They both must be suffering from nose bleeds right now.

Anyway, both appear to be just what Warrington needed to spark them and they should be thereabouts this year.
They do, hence why I pointed that out. With a touch of perspective of course. Opinion is deliberately blinkered otherwise.
