Your Personal Top Five Rhinos Moments : Sun Apr 26, 2009 6:15 pm
Basically just put your top five personal favourite moments of been a Rhino. Yes you can put something there if it was way before we was re-branded the Rhinos! Tis is the kind of thread we need at the moment. Here are my top five personal favourite moments -
1. The Danny McGuire try in the 2003 Challenge cup v St Helens 12/4/03 The whole match was full of Magical moments but none so more than this one that ended the game on more ecstasy than anyone could of imagined. It’s the only time I lost my voice at a Leeds Rhinos match and won’t probably lose it again. If this was a Super League Semi Final it would of eclipse the ‘wide to west’ try that the sky sports team keep reminding us about. Here is the highlights of that game if you want to watch again - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 982355.stm 2. Seeing Leeds Rhinos lift a cup for the first time in my life in the 1999 Silk Challenge Cup (someone get me the exact date please) After witnessing Bradford Bulls as a better team all my life at that moment it was good to finally see Leeds Rhinos lift up a cup. I wasn’t all into good rugby back then just as long as Leeds won that’s all that mattered to me. Here is an Image that gave me so much joy that glorious day - 3. The Jordan Tansey try in the Millennium Magic match v Bradford Bulls 6/5/07 I was just about to walk out of the room because Sinfield has missed his kick. But then our player whose currently residing in Australia probably came up with the most criminal play that rugby league has ever seen. Bradford fans are probably pleased to see this pommie shipped out to Australia 4. The signing of the worlds best fullback Brent Webb (someone get me the exact date he signed please) Probably the player I’ve been most excited about ever coming to Leeds after seeing him play internationally and bits in the NRL. He’s still a totally joy to watch today and the worlds best fullback on his day IMO. 5. The Ryan Bailey Tackle on Maurie Fa'asavlu v St Helens 20/3/09 Opposition and our fans alike have a hate affair with this player. But surely he proved everyone wrong with this tackle of the season against St Helens player Maurie Fa'asavlu. James Grahams reactions were hilarious because he envy’s the kind of tackles that our Ryan can put in. Ryan Bailey IMO is one of the best prop forwards on his day. Not everyone can be super stars though. Other notable moments - McGuire second try v St Helens 2008 Grand Final 4/10/08, Ali Lauitiiti pass to Ryan Hall v Manly Sea Eagles in the 2009 WCC 1/3/09, Ryan Bailey getting straight up after the softcock challenge by SBW in the 2005 WCC 4/2.05 along with Andrew Dunneman drop goal v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 3/5/03. |
