She is right though, some burglars are extremely thick.
Like the one who once kicked our back door down to steal my mobile phone and wallet - ran all the way to an all-night petrol station, used my credit card to buy a packet of fags with £20 cashback then used my mobile to call for a taxi to take him home.
9am next morning I hand a faxed list of all my mobile calls to a local rozzer who rings the only one that I hadn't made to discover its a taxi company, who then tell him where the customer was picked up from and which house he was dropped off at (his own house, what a fekkwit) and just to cap it all the petrol station had cctv of him using my card and making the call.
Easiest days work that West Yorks Police ever did although they did tell me that most jobs were like that one.
My Mrs had a similar bout with some students at her school!
3 lads (might i add only 14 or 15) bought a get away car for £400 and a Shotgun for extra. To hold up a local bookmakers, got away with just £300 (before getting caught)
