Travel down friday, have a great night probably at the scholars match first, coach down to wembley to the Greyhound Sat, great atmosphere outside this pub, Night on the town again then home Sunday with a stop on the way
The Skolars game on the Friday night is highly recommended.
The Admiral's travel plans have been long established, but for operational reasons, the trip to the capital has been curtailed as merely a day's excursion.
05.50 - Wake / shower / watch morning news etc.
06.30 - Mrs Admiral takes me to the station inc. several train and match ticket checks. If time, obtain TFL Travelcard at departing station.
07.00 - Train to London inc. fielding various phone calls, contacts, texts etc.
09.15 - Arrive in the captial
09.30 - Head off to yet-to-be-arranged rendezvous location with a London based friend for coffee / breakfast.
I'm going to be in London on Friday anyway so getting train on Friday morning, meeting up with some friends and going to the Globe Theatre in the afternoon and then some dinner (this was planned several months ago and I had the feeling Rhinos were going to get to Wembley this year). Staying overnight at a friend's and then getting the tube to Wembley before getting a lift back to Leeds on Saturday night.

Notice the relaxed nature of the day, it suits me, no travel plans to make, no tickets to check every five minutes, no finding you're sat in the middle of The Fekkwit Alcoholics Working Mens Club coach trip, no standing to let someone go past to the toilet/bar every five minutes, no breaking up at least two fights (one per half if past finals have been anything to go by), no trying to see what happened by squinting at a big screen 150 yards away, and no endless journey home afterwards.
I've paid my dues, now I relax, if I smoked I'd be puffing on a Hamlet.
[watching Mackay testing the curry in the prison kitchens] Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army. Rudge: Where? India? Fletcher: No, Bradford.
