Rhyse is holding his hand up, but struggling at the moment, you have to wonder how much the CV-19 he caught has affected his underlying fitness level. We need another option at halfback so I'd if Myler is fit I'd play him at 7 with Eastmond at 6. Broadbent would stay at 1. If Myler isn't fit, I'd play Leeming at 7 and Eastmond at 6 with Dwyer playing at hooker with O'Connor as the interchange.
None of this is ideal, but until we get some experience healthy again we will have to make do and mend.
Yeah Martin looks a couple of pegs down from his usual standards to me. His attempt on Hastings looks really laboured, and I wonder whether fatigue led to the missed touch.
He wasn't great last night.
Then again I've been bagging the Briscoes for a couple of weeks and I thought they were both ace against Wigan.
We really could do with getting a couple of results in the next few weeks. Playing against Muizz is going to be interesting.
I'd agree with Agar's comments really - yes we're 10/10 for effort and grit, but we are still making too many errors and putting additional pressure on an already difficult challenge. I'm not sure any player is bang in form, aside from big Mik, but everyone is tipping in.
I reckon we will still need to execute better and produce better last tackle plays if we're going to beat HKR. I wouldn't assume if we go Route 1 again like with Saints and Wigan that we will necessarily beat them. I know we're troops down but some of our last tackle plays have been tragically bad.
