I think TB was a massive confidence player, who was probably let down by our coached over the years.
The main use during his time was bringing the ball out of defense, which he was exceptional at. Teams could almost never get him on his back, and he would either stand in the tackle or play on his front. He also won us a lot of pens because of that ability.
When he was at Hull, he had much more of an attacking threat and looked like a world beater at times. At Leeds, I never felt he was given the freedom to back himself, to take players on the outside in the way Hall often did. He also looked massively affected by any errors, which he was very prone to at times.
Overall a great servant to the club, who won plenty of trophies. Still, I think there is a better player in there that could have been coached back into England contention had we used him in any other way than a battering ram on the 1st and 2nd tackles.
