O’Connor would need to be moved to back row again if we retain Johnson.

Agreed. If he has a killer season, then he comes back ahead of O'Connor, however, if he has an average one, then he is gone.

I know he has had limited game time, however, he has never come on to the pitch and done anything to standout. It's a shame based on how he had been built up.

I dunno I think his distribution generally was better than O’Connor. But he doesn’t have exceptional pace or power, his D isn’t as good as O’Connor’s.

If he can get a string of games at 9 at Bradford he might show more of what he can do.

On that note, anyone else reckon O'Connor's distribution, especially middle distance passes, looks a lot more snappy this year?

Yes I have , discussed with my brother at the Catalans game there doesn’t seem to any floaty rubbish passes from the play the ball

Yep he has improved - his passing from the ground is way smoother IMO

He needs to smarten up a lot with play selection on what we saw at times last year though if he’s gonna make it at 9 rather than be a good workmanlike back rower.

Johnson went well for us last week. He'll certainly get plenty of game time if he stays fit.
