Regarding the WT and rumours of buying the houses, is this an actual policy or just pure rumour/speculation? For a number of reasons, I doubt this would ever happen (both, the buying of property and building a stand on the land)

Agreed and they wouldn't even get planning permission ,the conservationalist's would be up in arms ,but the club haven't commented on the WT for a long time which may be an indication that they may be thinking of building a smaller covered structure. However that would be quite a few years in the future before they could afford that

It's nothing to do with conservationalists. The typical semis have very little architectural merit. They are people's homes - in an area with, no doubt, a very strong community. No Councillor or local MP would support their demolition. How would you feel if your neighbouring industrial unit suddenly decided it was going to demolish a number of houses in your street & Build a tin shed 6 storeys high in their place?

you could argue that you have bought a house right next to a major spots stadium so does it really matter. also doubt these houses that back on to the stadium as worth as much as others in the neighboring streets, it may be that some of the owners would be happy to sell up as they would get a good price, in my street the houses opposite have quite long gardens but back onto a railway line with a large factory on the other side of that, so houses on that side of the street are about 10% less in price and slightly less desirable, and as others have stated its mainly the gardens where the west stand tapers off that is the issue if the area could be squared off a fairly simple new terrace and roof with better toilet refreshments facilities will suffice. Similar capacity. maybe then fill the corners would add 1.5-2k extra capacity. but would expect any work on the western terrace to be 10-15 years down the line.

what you talking about ? I was only mentioning one objection group of many when I said conservationists who are very active in Headingley , but like I said it would be many years before a new WT development came to fruition

Gets my vote as long as it gets rid of that miserable cow at number 42.

Messaged the club and SM UK asking if they can move the north stand cameras slightly so you can see the work on the steelwork to the roof.
