the ground is being rebuilt by 60% ? and summer is coming soon bit of drier weather ,but maybe more games could have been played on the road and not necessary at ER

Whilst you do mention on the road in other places, just a point in regards on Ellamd Road in case anybody wonder why other games weren't played there so far this season.

The HKR and Cas games were played on weekend when Leeds United were playing away or it was the International break. When we played Hull at Headingley and likewise for upcoming home games vs Wigan and Wire, United are playing at home that weekend so probably wouldn't have RL there the night before. After that our next home game is beginning of June and I'd imagine more of the South Stand is opened then and United will probably relay the pitch at ER during the football offseason.

Looking back rather than forward, this link was posted on Totalrl of the 1935 cup semi.

I almost can't get my head around how huge the same two stands look compared to the modern view we were used to. And the ground still had proper corners...

Don’t know how anybody missed a tackle in those days with shorts like that.
Great footage

And at 1.47 there is a genuine crowd surge in the NW corner as people try to see what's going on.

I just saw a recent image of the progress on the new north stand taken from the south stand and its going to tower over the RL side .Its going to make the RL seating area look miniscule . Looking forward to seeing it finished

It’s going to be a huge stand. The top of the seating area is what’s in place at the minute on the pictures, the angle from that to the pitch is quite deep.
