Huddersfield's last 6 games: Catalans x2 Castleford Hull FC Salford Leeds
Leeds last 6 games: Wigan Hull KR Widnes Huddersfield Warrington St Helens
To compare the 2 as indicators of some kind of form is a bit pointless. If we'd played Huddersfield today, putting in the same performance as we did against Wigan, we'd have won. Conversely if Huddersfield had played Wigan they'd have lost.
Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.
And yet, they're top of the league with only 4 defeats and the best attack in SL this year.
They are indeed right now, at the end of May. Let's hope they remain there in September. To do so their form over the next four months will have to improve dramatically to the form they've been in over the last 12 months.
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

No bloody comfort for me
I had you lot at scratch to beat the Pies and Cats at +2. Over the weekend, it was only Leeds who cost me a £480 acca
Promise me you'll buck up (but leave it 'til after the Challenge Cup please)
That said, my concern is that the magic weekend could easily be our side's biggest game this year, as indeed it could have in each of the last 3 seasons, in terms of occasion and attendance. It's a big concern to me that each time we've failed to perform at the required level. That suggests to me that should we even get to a final we may be more likely to lose it than we are to win it. I think that edge has now gone.
Difference is, if we reach a final we'll be treating as such. Think one of our biggest problems we've had with Magic Weekend lately is that we treat it as just another league game and Wigan approach it almost like a cup or playoff game. If we approached yesterday like we did the Hudds cup game then it would've been a different match.

What evidence have you for your assertion above? Or is it solely based on how you perceive that we played compared to how Wigan played?
PS I don't intend to get into a pointless debate with you on this.

We would also have needed Wigan to play as bad as Huddersfield did on the day - some on here are reading a lot into the Huddersfield game yet are prepared to write off a poor Leeds performance say against Warrington - you can't have it both ways.
Wigan dominated Leeds in the forwards as did Warrington with very similar outcomes. I think you idea that Leeds didn't take it seriously is clutching at straws as was your comment about Bentham.
