Absolutely brainless second half. Ultimately Newman has cost us the game, but he’s not on his own. The front row stopped going forward, the line speed disappeared, the creative options just stopped playing. We made errors with and without the ball, but the biggest issue is a total and utter lack of leadership.

We cannot string 2 halves together that why we have failed to to more than 2 back to back wins. We never looked like scoring in second half.

Newman has to learn from that.

If he wants to go as far as others and clearly he thinks can, then this has to be a bit of a ‘feet back on the ground moment’

Having said that Morgan Gannon struggled to defend in that channel too and I don’t think that helped either of them.

We missed Austin and threw in too much rubbish. As usually happens the best team won.

It was a close game between 2 evenly matched teams. Lots of positives, a much better first half that was let down by not being able to take our chances in the 2nd half.
Hopefully Newman learns from that. It's great that he plays with personality, but it can't come at the expense of the team.
