Haven't watched the game back yet, but I suspect we are going to have to get used to not charging out of the blocks like sprinters. Smith always mentions the energy battle" and our two men in the tackle style doesn't give us the early momentum against sides like Huddersfield, who commit three, sometimes four men, to the table. However as the game went on you could see them really dropping off and allowing us to play the fast pace stuff that allows us to post lots of points quickly. There's a balance to be struck I suppose, and key for us to avoid some of the criminal errors that have plagued the early part of the season.

‘Criminal errors’ flip you’d think we’d been playing like the Harlem Globetrotters for the past 5 years!

Also for the clamouring to move myler on he still continues to be one of our most consistent proving quality with his link passing again.

Mylers kick chase was spot on too. For all the talk of energy battles and styles or whatever he’s one who seems to really know when to inject himself.

Managed to watch the game this morning. We are one hell of a side when we are playing fast and with momentum. Big Sam Lisone is an absolute wrecking ball off the bench. Huge advantage to have 2 halves who are great kickers too.
Austin can pretty much do it all. Thought his long kicking and passing was top draw…..

Not really sure what you are getting at, but by criminal errors I specifically mean: Martin flinging the ball out of a tackle on his own line against Catalans; Olpherts dropping the ball underneath his own sticks at Saints; Olpherts failing to (never mind dropping) even attempt to catch kicks against Hull, Cas and KR. Total killers in any game. Cut that out we'll be hard to play against every week.

Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.

Much improved 2nd half again. Lisone and Tet really helped swing the momentum. After a slow start Lisone has improved in recent weeks and is making an impact from the bench.
The new additions Macdonald, Lisone, McDonnell and Sangare all have added something to the team. It's our lack of cohesion in attack at times and our conceding of easy metres which is letting us down. When we get it right we look a dangerous side.

Very good call, I hope Rohan does get the balance right to the Conservative approach to the early energy battle. Compounded with errors and penalties it's dangerous when we can find ourselves too many scores down before we have our say in the game. He seems to have already reflected on the short kick off philosophy so he seems he can adjust.

They’re just errors mate. You can’t expect us to play as free and open as we do without errors. We’ll make plenty of errors this year, fine by me, as when we stick we can finally score from anywhere on the field again….

Just watched the game back as well.
Tetevano and Lisone off the bench completely changed the momentum of the game.
Both high impact.
Tet is definitely better off the bench and is benefitting from a stronger pack.
And Lisone is starting to show what he can do.
Austin was good as well. Deffo worth another contract for me.
Can be frustrating, but can be very good. Always trying to make things happen.
Bentley had a really poor game tbh, but he'll not always be as bad as that.
