I sat on the very back row behind the posts last year (you can get tickets less than a week before, but obviously not the best ones.....) but the view was absolutely fine.

Game was rubbish, view was fine.

We were about a third of the way up the top tier last year, and I thought the view was shocking. It's far too distant. I didn't really feel a part of it. I've been to plenty of large capacity stadiums and the view is much better in the upper tier seats at all of them.

How can a supposedly "big" club like ours not shift 7k tickets for a semi final against local rivals. Last season's abysmal Wembley performance has killed the CC off for many. If, and I say, if we win on Sunday then the glory supporters will appear from out of the woodwork.

I wouldn't be too sure about shifting lots of tickets for the final, I think one thing is very clear to anyone outside of Red Hall - there are far more important things to buy and keep within a family budget this year than tickets to a rugby game and the same will be true of the final - the sport is in danger of out pricing its core market, but it won't be the first to go down that road.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Re: ticket office : Wed Aug 03, 2011 7:18 pm
I agree with McF most have not had a salary increase for 2/3 years and inflation at 5% compound. Whatever spare there was is likely to be needed foe essentials such as food. Wait until the utility bills hit home - GH should doing some early selling of season tickets it could be tough come January.

One thing is for sure premier league soccer will not suffer - how people can afford it in the numbers that do constantly amazes me.

One thing I'd suggest that helps is that in a lot of cases, football tends to be attended by a bloke with a group of mates. Far less families go to football matches which makes it more affordable to go.

There is still a big % of families including kids who attend these games. It seems immune to the recession.

I've asked on my IF form for lower tier tickets. Last year paid £18 (through some school up near Skipton) and the view was superb!

I thought writing something extra on the form, for which there was no box, may be too much to handle for the ticket office. So I decided against doing so.

Never had a problem with it in the past. Theres a few instructions on my form. One of which, use the £20 which my customer number is in credit by, against the cost of the IF form. We'll see what we end up with....
