Of course  Wish I could be proved wrong now also, so we are not wasting time, would love nothing more, but not going to happen.

Sent back through time to rid the world of bovine related sports teams

Re: Enough is enough : Thu Apr 14, 2016 5:03 am
At scrum half. That is differnet to your context. I also said at the weekend that I wanted to buy an expensive watch, I didn't however say it a couple of years ago.

Ronzy wrote:
If we produced decent half backs, you name them then? I've told you we produced one (Luke Gale) and he has proven his quality (another fact).

Like I said, the fact that you are unable to name them proves my point that you only know about something when it hits the headlines, hence the Gale one. I bet when he was in his Bradford days, which incidentally I always argued with Bradford fans he was quality when they kept saying he wasn't, you wouldn't have taken him at all. Gareth Moore is still he best potential halfback I have seen at Leeds since McGuire started, but he wasn't given anything close to the opportunites Sutcliffe is getting now, and as a result slipped away down a none full time path. Others go the same way, as their focus goes. That doesn't mean they couldn't have made it, it means they were not give the opportunity and therefore gave it up.

Ronzy wrote:
I never saw anything of Gaskell to suggest that he could barge his way through a gap. With over four years on Sutcliffe, he still only now of comparable weight. He certainly was not that size in 2011.

Yet the sky team were declarying him man of steel in his first full season, with his try assists and try's far exceeding Sutcliffe last season. I suggest maybe you just didn't realise because you didn't see the potential in him that the sky team did. Just like others do not see the potential in Sutcliffe that you believe now. Like I said, personal opinion.[/quote]

You said sweet FA about Burrow a scrum half, your statement was that he offered nothing to the team. We've gone from BS to straight mistruths now.

Gareth Moore, what the same Gareth Moor, who I watched play for Batley? From the one game I saw him play (well part game IIRC) he looked to lack more than a yard of pace. The fact that he has stayed in the game and gone nowhere since (is he at Feath still?) suggests that he would not have cut it at the top level. By the way, that is one more, you suggested there were three or four. More horse guano.

Who gives a fig what the Sky team think? With the exception of Carney and Wells, nearly everything said by the Sky team is hyperbole. Gaskell was nowhere near Sutcliffe physically at the time he was playing for Saints and you know it. The Sky team were raving about Sutcliffe last year but that doesn't suit your argument.

As for Williams, don't make me laugh. He has all the physical attributes but, as things stand, he can't pass or pick a pass to save his life. He may learn those skills and like Sutcliffe, I hope he does. One thing is for sure, neither of them should be thrown on the scrap heap in the forseeable future.

Right off to work...

You do talk a lot of rubbish, so I will just pick up this bit to highlight the point. Just looked through the Saints archives and Gaskell in 2012 was 6ft 3 inch, and 14st 12. Sutcliffe is currently 6ft and 14st 13. Both debuted at same age, both utility players who prodominently played in the halfs, both average goal kickers. Yeah sure your right, numpty.

Nice try. I weigh 15 and half stone but I'd like to bet I'm carrying half Sutcliffe's muscle mass.

I notice that you've given up protesting your innocence on Burrow and the preposterous suggestion that Leeds have produced 3 or 4 half backs more worthy than Sutcliffe in the recent past. You managed one.........Gareth Moore

I am tempted to respond to your personal insults by calling you a doylem but I think I'll maintain the moral high ground. Anyway, it is obvious for all to see. :D

That would be because you are female, not a Rugby League player like the two players mentioned. Comparing yourself to a rugby player is ludicrous.

I haven't given up anything. As I said you talked a lot of poop, so I just thought what is the point. The fact you know very little of players is simply your problem not mine.

You can hardly maintain a moral high ground, when you simply have to look over two pages to see who was the one with the insults. That is you by the way, just to make it simpler for you.

Ok, I'll give you a chance to prove your point:

Other than Gareth Moore, name the other three or four potential half backs that Leeds have let go. While your at it, drag up the thread from last year where you qualified your position on Burrow by suggesting he was merely inadequate at half back.

I'll come back next year....................However, it may take you a little longer.

And another thing, having just checked, somewhat surprisingly for me, there were no personal insults in my previous posts on the matter.

No dear, how about you try and prove your point, as your the one throwing it around.

And as if to highlight exactly why you can't, you only have to go back to page 14 of this thread to see what I put

Gotcha wrote:
We have had two or three half backs over the last decade who looked miles better than Sutcliffe, they were sent packing. Do the club regret it? I can't recall seeing your posts of not to write them off.

Now in very few pages later you are harping on about extra half backs. Like I have intimated many times, do you actually read posts?
