Lolohea has just had a baby, doubt he wanted to leave Oz before the young one was born
I'm surprised he's coming at all then! what's betting he'll be off after the first year as looking after a newborn in a new country 13,000 miles away from family will be tough.

It's obviously not ideal, but presumably plenty of players have done it before.
Lolohea playing reserve grade is nothing to do with having a baby - he's been deemed a reserve grade player in a team that didn't make the top 8 and would have been ruled out weeks ago but for continual slip ups by higher placed teams. Lolohea is at best third choice full back for Wests (where he's seemingly played most of the year for the Magpies in the NSW reserve comp) and fourrth or fifth halfback. He's definitely not a superstar, although he may go well in SL.
I'm not saying he won't do well, but certainly in terms of profile he's close to zero here, whereas every NRL fan will know who Austin is, and Austin has generally played first team (I think he was dropped to the bench a while ago but came back at the end of the year).
Leeds need players who will help us build in the short and long term. A big name player like Austin (or Barba, Segeyaro, Sandow etc) comes with a big risk they won't be around after a year or less.
Lolohea is younger and has a point to prove, much like Parcell when he signed. Hopefully it will turn out that way and not follow the pathway of Ben Cross, Vickery, Falloon etc.
