Fensom might be better than we currently have, but he's completely average. We have a limited number of overseas quota spots and we really should be doing all we can to make sure they are of the highest quality.

We're not even average right now.

Fensom has experience and is a leader.

With respect, I'd argue no. We need dynamism not another plodding 'leader'. I've heard enough claptrap about experience and leadership amongst the 'playing group' thanks.

Couldn't agree more. Whilst Fensom is absolutely an ultimate pro, with a fantastic work ethic and an outstanding defender... he is SLOW!!! We're desperately lacking pace and impact in our pack, and whilst Fensom may add some starch, he's just another old plodder.

O'Neill would go well in SL... Has hands like cows t!ts from time to time, and can miss a tackle, but would be great in SL all the same.

O'Neill is at least the right sort of pedigree. I guess it will come down to a combination of how many quota spots we have, which positions can be filled from overseas and who is available. Just like in previous years we've left it very late for next season in terms of any top end players who might be available.

I think we have 3 spaces on the over seas quota, but not much on the None Federated quota, possibilly only 1. But I can’t remember the exact numbers, maximum 5 OS and 7 NF but all count towards same??

Bit of room to dip into NRL further then if required. I would like us to go out and get a top British player though from one of our rivals. That would make a great statement.

I reckon we'll at least make a play for Hastings. If we go for a British signing, who would you want and why? I'm genuinely asking - I think we've got so many holes across the squad (potentially more if Parcell goes) that its hard to know where to start. My gut feel is first priority should be as good a prop as we can get, and an impact second row. But who are the English options?
