Why do always resort to emotional insults when I point out a few facts which present a different point of view.
I have already said that I think we need to recruit a top back rower. However the constant blame for our poor performances cannot be just put on our declining back rowers, who as I have demonstrated in practice have put in as good, if not greater, effort than the likes of younger new recruit Thompson and the younger Ferres neither of whom are worth a place in the side.
Although Burrow was replaced my Myler, our main weakness has been due to not replacing Sinfield, McGuire and Galloway. So we have not had a game manager or a reliable kicker to win tight games and we have been under strength at prop. Our lack of fit props has changed the whole dynamic of our game meaning we have been weak in the Centre field in both go forward and defense which has meant our older back rowers have been overworked as stand in props. Parcel has also suffered in this respect. Add to that Moon's lack of form until recently and having no centres and you start to provide reasons for our decline other than the simplistic blame the coach for everything.
Sinfield has been in charge now for two months and there is no noticeable improvement despite having more fit players to call upon. Had everything been BMD fault, as you claim, then there would have been an immediate bounce back. Sinfield's struggle to get the team to perform well against some very second rate Championship sides rather points to a lack of real class in the squad as being the main factor.
I blame Mcdermott for squad management he selected the side chose the minutes they play & how to utilise the whole squad/bench. You're very selective in your reasoning we haven't had a glut injuries throughout his tenure yet he has flogged messrs Delaney Ablett & Jjb & used Ward (wrongly) as a battering ram. I absolutely agree Thompson & Ferres aren't good enough that doesn't gloss over how the others were used. Again i agree recruitment has been poor & GH needs to be blamed aswell but lets not think McD has no say in retention or recruitment either he wanted Ferres he chose to get rid of Mcshane Bailey etc etc. You keep chirping about Galloway we finished 2nd & won a GF without him he is neither here nor there. I wont lie ive been underwhelmed by Sinfields impact & i think its highlighted 2 things imo the size of the job to turn it around was a much bigger task than he & us thought & i think it is just too big for him & Lowes but i have high hopes Furner will have a bigger impact with a full pre-season fresh ideas & a much needed cull.
Getting rid of McD was the right move, putting Lowes/Sinfield, a worse version of McD and someone whos never coached before, in charge of the first team wasnt. Most fans thought this at the time and its been proved true on the pitch.
Get this season over with, next season im confident that with GH focusing on the Buissness side , Sinfield focusing on DoR and Furner taking care of the first team, will have us in much better shape, next season, and going forward over the nxt few years than the McD/Gh partnership would of.

If you need digging out, or a bit of magic to get you back into a game... maybe not.
There are very few halves in the world capable of this, definitely no-one in SL! Myler has done his best in a truly garbage team effort this year. I'm looking forward to seeing his link with Watkins/Briscoe next year, hopefully behind a pack capable of giving him a platform.

Rubbish is this thought process. Drinkwater and Hastings completely turned around the holes and back foot their teams were in. The better halfs always come up with something to change.
That said, I think Myler has shown he can do that, and has indeed done that at times. I too am looking forward to what he does with an half back partner with some quality and threat, as that for me has been the bigger issue for Myler this year.

The only thing rubbish is your attitude towards people who think differently to you. Why do you feel the need to personalise insults?
The point being that both Hastings and Drinkwater have looked great behind a dominant pack, but not so special when their forwards have been out muscled. Myler is no different to them in this sense.

There was nothing insulting in my post to you at all. Anyone can have a different view, but if it is not agreed with, it is not agreed with. Responding differently is not to insult. I simply said the thought process that people come out with about half backs not able to play well is rubbish. It is. Good players will always come up with something to change. You simply said NO ONE in Super League could do that, I gave you an example proving otherwise, and indeed even agreed with your point on Myler.
Did you see the NRL semi yesterday? The South’s forwards were very good, very much front foot, the backs, and inparticular the halfs were very poor. Catalans were in a rut and losing each week, they bring in Drinkwater and suddenly they are dominating, same team but a different half. Catalans needed Drinkwater, Drinkwater didn’t need Catalans to change, he did it.
