I'd be happy with Fensom and O'Neil but depending on whether we are signing any other British players in addition to Crosby) I think we need another overseas prop and back row as opposed to another halfback when we already have Myler and Lolohea earmarked for the halves and apparently the kid McClelland has been promised some first team action as well and the club will always have Sutcliffe to fill out in there (although personally he's not for me)

Also I see no point in Evalds as we have Walker and Golding for that role and both Sutcliffe and Lolohea can fill in there to cover injuries and I feel Evalds is more of a fullback than winger and we have both Briscoe's for wing and Handley, Golding and Lolohea can cover wing in emergencies (assuming Feldt is a non-starter now for wing?)

As it stands, no we wouldn't. We have 1 NFT spot definitely available, 2 if Delaney doesn't sign.

Slightly concerned that no announcements have been made about them leaving. Suggests all three will stay. That concerns me. Having an aged player in the squad on a low cost deal isn't a bad thing. in reality with a decent coach Smith should get ahead of them on merit. However if three are signed up it feels a bad deal unless the combined wages of the three is about the same as a single other player, as that's probably how much game time we'll get out of them

Its not even the wages, its the fact that they will expect to get picked regardless of what they say in regards to 'earning a spot' etc. If they are genuinely willing to fight for a place and accept if they're not it would all be good, but I doubt any of those three would expect anything less than being in the 17 when fit.

I wouldn't keep any of them, Ablett is the only one of the 3 I'd be OK with resigning on a reduced deal.

Presuming that you mean, Ablett, Delany and Buchanan?

Problem with that, as I see it, is that it drastically reduces the "Leeds Culture", + Hall leaving too, it doesn't leave much of it around and I reckon Sinfield will be keen to keep some of it in place.

Perhaps a fresh start isn't a bad thing though.

What do you's reckon?

For me id give Jjb a job working with the Team i.e Welfare type role.
Id expect Burrow & Walker to be involed on Furners staff aswell so there would still be plenty around to lead & impliment the "Leeds Culture".
Furner will also hopefully bring plenty of freshness in terms of tactics ideas & a ruthless approach.
