I said hall did well when he played there!

And so he did the once it happened but what I recall you saying was that he had played well all the times he had played there. If it happened more than once than state when it was and I'll happily retract that comment.

As for gibson you do know he played in 06 don't you??

Did he, how about knowing he played in 2005 as well. Do I get a brownie point now?

rhinoms wrote:
You do know he has played more than once in the centre/wing at 1st team level and you do know he's played for england and did well. I've based my opinion on what i've seen when he's played well before his injury

Any examples of these games where he played well or are they just the usual general recollections with nothing specific of note to recall.

I'm prepared to give the lad a chance what's the problem??

There's no problem if you're prepared to settle for average players that are in and out of the team simply making the numbers up. The notion that he's somehow a potential successor to a Keith Senior is where it goes a bit pear shaped.

I just remember him doing well in the match's he played 1 that stand's out was leigh away (his debut) IIRC and he didn't seem out of his depth in any other match's he played imo.
I'm not saying he's a keith senior i just think he deserve's a longer run in the team after his long lay off before we dismiss him as "had it".
Maybe i do"over-rate"him if he fails this year i will happily admit i was wrong but i do think your harsh on him mate.

IIRC isn’t Gibson the second ever highest scoring debutant – 1 point behind John Holmes?

Brian McClennan:

Hibiscus Coast Raiders:
2001 Bartercard Cup Minor Premiers
2001 Bartercard Cup Champions

Mt Albert Lions:
2002, 2004 & 2005 Bartercard Cup Champions
2002 & 2005 Bartercard Cup Minor Premiers

New Zealand:
2005 Gillette Rugby League Tri-Nations series

Auckland Lions:
2006 Bartercard Cup Minor Premiers
2006 Bartercard Cup Champions

Leeds Rhinos:
2008 World Club Challenge
2008 Super League Grand Final

Now to me it looks like no matter what the level is it seems Brian McClennan has always been a winner no matter where he has coached and he has proved he can do it on all levels, Mick Potter on the other hand as a Coach to my knowledge has won *Insert Here*...

What's funny?, You have to start somewhere he did and he has proved he is a born winner and has won something no matter where he has coached...
