Getting what we deserve stupid squad selections, I don’t think I will be on my own having very little interest in these internationals

A line needs drawing and start again from scratch. Tour has been farcical.

A few players need moving on now and certainly a new coach.

I like Hodgson in a Canberra shirt but for England/GB he just stifles everything.

Lions Whitewashed As PNG Compound Tour Misery The Great Britain Lions were looking to restore a modicum of pride at the end of a disastrous tour as they travellled to the rugby league cauldron of Port Moresby to take on a determined Papua New Guinea side who were intent on sending the Lions home on the back of a four game whitewash. Papua New Guinea are currently ranked as the tenth best in the world, behind Scotland and Lebanon, this match was scheduled to be a gentle wind down and bridge building exercise at the end of the tour. The Kumuls would have different ideas, wanting to compound the Lions misery in front of a sell out, fervent, home crowd. It’s been a joke, what a farce, Wayne Bennett should hang his head in shame. There was no balance in the squad, players now playing out of position. It’s clear Bennet does not rate super league, if your an Aussie playing in SL with a UK heritage your in the team, plus too many English players who are in OZ simply walk into the team, Bennet has become a dinosaur, blown away, we had no answer to PNG in the second half. Bennet surely has to walk away from this after this tour.

GB management should publically kick his ass out and be scathing about his approach and the state we are left in.

Bennett has to go now when he came in as England coach he took is in a forward direction but now we've gone 2 or 3 steps backwards with his coaching and team selection, i suspect GB will disband again now and Eng, Sco, Wal, and Ire will focus on there own goals heading into 2021 world cup and the future, think this tour proves that the home nations and SL need a international break in there calendar to keep up with the rest of international teams as they are on the up and we do not want to drop down the pecking order any further a mid season test is key imo for England rugby League. I hope Bennett does go and hopefully someone like Shaun Wane will take over the national team building up to world cup we need to get all the best talent in super league and nrl in there natural positions and playing like a team again.

Players like Watkins, Hall, Mcgillvary, Widdop, Hill, Hodgson need to prove fitness and form at club level before being considered again imo they have served there country well in past but we need new young blood in squad whist keeping some experience in there.

Just going to put this out there but Brian McD should be considered for GB too. He has the best track record of any British coach getting teams up for big games.

I’m not sure changing Wayne will change our fortunes because I don’t think our player pool is strong enough, but I can’t see how he survives this tour now.

Also I don’t and never have really agreed with getting your “best 13” on the pitch almost regardless of position. Specialist skills are vital as it knowing instinctively what your role is at this level. GB lacked in many areas - too slow, not enough creativity, not enough punch.

After this showing they will struggle to sell tickets if Bennett stays.
He will get binned off for this reason if no other.

I can see benefits of Wane and he is available but my preferred option would be Powell. Worked wonders at CAS with little to no resource, would like to see what he can do with a bigger and in theory better player pool.

Will play a SL style and the players would understand what they are doing. It might not get us a world cup but we would be back playing well and being competitive.
