Or alternatively you could throw someone pretty much untried into a threequarter line already struggling for form and missing two first choice players. Like I say shows where he stands in the pecking order.

It would have been an option but obviously not one that was used in this most hectic period of the season. It makes you query the size and quality of squad at the coach's disposal this season seeing a player required to turn out so heavily strapped up.

In terms of SL experience he's still a youngster and he's jumped from reserve rugby straight into a struggling team lacking in confidence so tbh i wouldn't read too much into it.

Hull have obviously been impressed enough with him to ask him back and play him .... Why not worth a look in for us ?
