I hear your point, obviously, but it's tricky to label a word 'racist' in all contexts. In some cases it could be, and in some cases it wouldn't be.
I mean I'm British, and I get called a 'Brit' abroad (Just got back yesterday from another holiday ), and we all know the Pakistani reference I'm making here. I have an biracial friend (English and Pakistani) and his right hook nearly as leathal as mine!!! But its water of a ducks back, those who slur in a racist sense usually have about 2 brain cells, where as when we banter to each other racially, those same expressions cause laughter not offense because in the way they are meant and said, and because of the relationship we have.
