You have to remember you're dealing with a sports team and their fans here. The people that pay their money and follow their team through thick and thin and can occasionally let their emotion get in the way.

I'm sure he consoled himself with the thought of his bank balance, but it was surprising to hear the disapproval ringing out from all around the stadium.

When is this replacement likely to happen? During the current season or for 2010?

If this season I hope Leeds can help find Gibson another SL club perhaps by way of a part-ex deal like Wigan and Warrington did with Mathers and Gleeson.

If it's for 2010 then Gibson will be out of his present Leeds contract and free to persue his career wherever he and his agent see fit. He may yet be offered an extension by Leeds who have already stood by him for the past two injury filled seasons.

How good of them to honour their contractual obligations towards a player injured whilst honouring his.

Not at all. Both sides need to be honourable. Leeds finding Gibson an alternative club (if he's still under contract) while fulfilling their first obligation which is to the Leeds club would be a honourable thing to do.

A right centre could be brought in without any need for Gibson to leave immediately anyway and he could retain his place in the squad until his contract expires in November.

I never understand the mentality of some people. I take it Iestyn was invited as he was part of the team that won the CC. How and why would you boo that is beyond me

He was a legend for you guys in his time. It's not like he came to Bradford and stole the Leeds hearts is it ? He wasn't to the same standard by this point in his career.

I wonder how many of those that sent out the boo messages have had offers to work for another company, with some good money in it and turned them down


So things aren't going to well for the Champions, is this really the way to behave ?

One of the very best that I have seen in a Leeds shirt, but that doesn't excuse his cloak and dagger approach to Leeds on his return to RL.
