Very good signing by us covers our recent injuries positions in the backs ( Fullback, Centre and halves) also he's salary won't all be on cap because he's been out of league for more than 5 years, hope he can regain form when he was at saints and was very good in union at his time at Bath but did pick up some injuries in last couple of years.

Suprising one this , not the quality half back i was looking for and as injury prone as Walker , but if not going to cost much maybe worth the gamble

Harris was one of the best half backs we've seen in the Super League era. 3 years (or thereabouts) in Union had effectively turned him into a donkey. What chance does Eastmond have? Be great to be proved wrong but I really doubt I will be...

Interesting indeed. At Wire, we had the same debate two years ago when we signed Luther Burrell. I watched him in his debut for us and said straight away that he wouldn't make it - he looked frightened to death. Shame, as he is a big unit. But as others have said, you can view these RU signings as a low-risk gamble, and Eastmond obviously has greater RL pedigree than Burrell had. Time will tell, but I look forward to watching him play.

On field performance is not ashtrays what signings are about . Look at your club and Inglis! Keeping fans and sponsor's happy brings in revenue. Tick box with Eastmond, plus the kind if player a neutral would choons into watch.
If we get 10 games out of him in the season, I think we'll have done well....

High profile signing? Not sure he is that now.
Liked him at Saints so let`s hope he stays injury free and delivers on the pitch.
For all we know he might be paid on game by game basis.
Now that would be a masterstroke.
