His technique is superb.
He’s a good lad and a real trier and his leg tackling would have been ideal in the 70’s where many sides had mobile, hard grafting fairly small second row forwards.
However, when he makes a one man tackle round the legs he has to release immediately, resulting in a very quick play the ball and often leaving him on the ground and helps get the opposition rolling.
I can’t stand all the wrestling stuff but in the modern game I just think he’s too small and limited to be very effective.
As many others have said he’s a good role model and all that and good luck to him but for mine we need others to outplay him this year and claim a regular spot in the 17.
