If there was a major Covid outbreak within the Saints squad and they weren’t able to field a team the sport would be a laughing stock?

Didn’t England’s cricket team cancel a test series a few weeks ago after a Covid outbreak. Does that make cricket a laughing stock too.

The show must go on and all that. It's highly unlikely Leeds would get called up, and even more unlikely we'd win a game against either Cats or Saints right now.

Just a sensible precaution, nothing more.

No that was India cancelling because they didn't want to risk it effecting the IPL, and yes it made a mockery out of test cricket and several pundits were very very vocal about it. They only had a couple of cases, was a sham.

It would throw major questions about the professionalism of the sport imo if a huge outbreak occurred in one team on grand final week.

I would hazard a guess that no member of staff of either club would test positive for Covid in either camp prior to the GF

2.5 Last year doesn't count! I'd be cheering for Catalan if it wasn't for their ex Wigan contingent. Probably not going to watch it. Looking forward to cheering on Fev though.
